Wedding Advice to Couples Should Ignore

One thing that it seems all new brides-to-be receive is not gifts but advice and it can be difficult to decide what advice to take and what to ignore.

If you're feeling overwhelmed with all of it, here are few advice tips you can throw out the window..

My talented friend is the same as hiring a professional

Wrong! Especially when it comes to choosing a photographer. Just because you have a friend who takes amazing holiday photos or Instagram Selfies and Reels, does not mean they're prepared or skilled to capture your wedding day. Wedding Day photography is an art trust me, hire a professional. Check their website and reviews.

Everything needs to be PERFECT!

No such thing as perfect, if you want to not go crazy before you big day drop perfection at the door. Your wedding does not need need to be Pinterest or Instagram-perfect in order to be memorable.

DIY is the only way

Yes, DIY might save you some money, it just is not always the best route. Sometimes it's better to pay a professional to assist you with aspects such as your cake, catering, and even some of your decorating. DIY does take up your valuable time and requires set up.

You were invited to their wedding so you HAVE to invite them to yours

Nope, absolutely a myth that you have to invite every single pers

on that invited you to their wedding. This is your day and your budget, so choose who you want at your wedding.

YOU NEED A BIG BRIDAL PARTY

It's YOUR wedding, if your future husband/wife/partner only wants their brother/ best friend/sister at their side on the wedding day while you want all five of your best friends, that's ok. If you want no wedding party that is ok too. It's YOUR wedding, decide what is best for you as a couple.
